The Challenge

BGF’s website had grown organically over time, leading to inconsistent design, confusing navigation, and weak SEO performance. The portfolio section was difficult to use, content was outdated, and the experience did not reflect BGF’s reputation as the UK’s most active growth investor. The challenge was to create a clear, elegant site that positioned BGF as a trusted, modern investment partner for ambitious SMEs while improving UX, search visibility, and lead generation.

Our approach

Make Agency® led a full UX and design overhaul supported by data insights from Make Sense. We mapped user journeys around core audience needs including founders, advisers, and investors, and simplified navigation to ensure fast access to funding information and portfolio content. The site was rebuilt in WordPress with modular flexibility and HubSpot integration, allowing BGF to create new pages with ease. We refreshed visual identity through clean layouts, strong typography, and authentic photography that highlights the people behind BGF’s success.

The results

The new BGF website positioned the brand as a modern, people-first investor and improved performance across all key metrics. It is now a living platform that tells BGF’s story, showcases growth, and drives engagement across the UK and Ireland.
