About
ESN (Elite Sports Nutrition) is Germany’s leading sports nutrition brand, trusted by athletes and fitness professionals across Europe. As part of their international growth, ESN appointed Make Agency® to lead a major brand awareness campaign for the UK and wider European markets. The goal was to establish ESN as a premium, high-performance alternative in a crowded sports nutrition space.
The challenge
ESN wanted to make a high-impact entrance into the UK market while strengthening its visibility across Europe. The challenge was to create a campaign that reflected the brand’s athlete-first identity and captured the energy of the gym and powerlifting community. ESN needed an agency that could unite creative excellence, digital performance, and AI insight across OOH, social, and paid media – driving attention through the peak fitness season when motivation and momentum are at their highest.
Our Approach
Make Agency® developed a full-funnel strategy, using AI-enhanced data analysis, we mapped audience behaviour across gym-goers, lifters, and fitness enthusiasts, identifying regional trends and community language within the UK fitness scene. This data informed every stage of creative and channel planning, helping us target precisely where attention was highest, both online and in the real world.
Our creative and production teams delivered a large-scale, high-production campaign built around ESN’s top athlete and influencer talent. Photography, motion, and hero video content were designed to bridge digital and OOH, creating impact across social feeds and large-format screens. The result was a distinctive visual system that felt both premium and authentic, built to move across markets and mediums.
What we delivered
We launched a Europe-wide campaign across digital, social, and OOH. This included full creative direction, content production, influencer integration, paid social, and performance media. In the UK, ESN took over landmark OOH locations with striking visuals, supported by paid and organic digital activations across Instagram, YouTube, and search.
The Results
The campaign delivered more than 120 million total impressions across Europe, driving a 46% increase in UK brand awareness and a 32% uplift in online sales over the Q4–Q1 period. Engagement within the UK fitness community doubled, fuelled by AI-informed creative optimisation that evolved in real time based on live performance data.
