Casa Collective appointed Make Agency to lead the digital transformation of Cook’s Club – a design-led lifestyle hotel brand known for its music, community and contemporary style. Our task was to migrate the brand’s legacy Umbraco 7 site to Umbraco 13, redesign the user experience, and position the refreshed brand as the go-to destination for modern, social travellers.

The Challenge

Cook’s Club’s website was outdated both in design and function, with a seven-year-old UX that no longer reflected the brand’s energy or met user expectations. With a brand refresh underway, Casa Collective needed a digital partner to align the new identity with a platform built for engagement and conversion. The goal was clear – increase direct bookings, reduce reliance on OTAs, and deliver a website that could grow with the brand across global markets and multiple languages.

Our Approach

Make Agency led a full UX and UI redesign guided by Make Sense – our proprietary data and insight platform. We analysed user journeys, tracked booking behaviours, and benchmarked hospitality conversion performance. The insights shaped a modular design system built around intuitive booking flows, immersive imagery, and locally tuned storytelling.

Working closely with Casa Collective’s marketing team, we implemented best-in-class booking optimisation and integrated analytics, CRM tagging, and performance tracking. The new Umbraco 13 build introduced flexibility, speed, and accessibility – giving Casa Collective full control over content while supporting multi-region expansion.

The results

Within weeks of launch, Cook’s Club’s new website redefined its digital presence – turning visitors into engaged bookers.
