Make Agency® partnered with ENGIE UK to consolidate multiple business unit sites into one unified digital presence. The new website delivers a clear narrative for the UK’s energy transition, improving navigation, user experience, and brand consistency across the group.
The challenge
ENGIE UK had a fragmented digital estate, with each business unit operating its own website and channels. This created confusion for customers, duplication in costs, and no single source of truth. The challenge was to create a unified platform under the ENGIE brand that could represent all divisions equally while supporting individual business goals. The site also needed to highlight ENGIE’s leadership in decarbonisation and attract new talent with a strong employer story.
Our approach
We led a full discovery phase, speaking with stakeholders across ENGIE’s energy, storage, and renewables divisions. Using data and insights from Make Sense, we mapped user journeys, defined personas, and structured a navigation that reflected audience needs, not internal hierarchies. The site was designed and built in WordPress with modular flexibility, enabling teams to manage content independently. Our team embedded analytics, accessibility compliance, and performance tracking to support ongoing optimisation and reporting. The result was a seamless, scalable platform that brought ENGIE’s UK voice together under one brand.
The results
The new ENGIE UK website became the single destination for all corporate, customer, and career communication. It clarified the brand story, strengthened reputation, and improved operational efficiency. The project went on to win Best Energy Website 2025 at the WebAwards.
